Olivier Van Noorth, Dutch pirate who travelled in one of four ships that set sail from Coore in Zealand and was who made contact with the Mapuches of the Mocha Island and Santa Maria. Once, Van Noorth attacked Valparaiso, getting hold of five Spanish ships. His expedition was a success, becoming into the fourth fleet in going around the world, after Magellan, Drake And Cavendish. Van Noorth visited the island in 1600.
